Protection Class Current Transformer

Protection Class Current Transformer is used to measure alternating current (AC). It produces a reduced AC voltage proportional to the current flowing through the primary winding. The current transformer is used to measure the current in a circuit without disturbing the flow of current in the circuit. It is commonly used in metering and protective relays in the electrical power industry.
